Tony Abbott today emphatically identified the person responsible for the government’s fall in popularity over the last 12+ months.
Faced with an angry caller on talkback radio, Tony Abbott artfully dodged all responsibility and made it clear who was to blame: Andrew, the Liberal voter and talkback radio caller who had confronted the prime minister. Mr Abbott said, “I would welcome you going out and using your salesmanship skills, which I’m sure are considerable, to help sell the government’s message.”
Given the awful popularity levels being faced by the government (only slightly more popular than syphilis), it’s clear “Andrew” (if that’s even his name) is clearly to blame for having not offered his skills previously to the government, preferably at below minimum wage levels with no weekend penalty rates.
Those dreamers hoping for a more compassionate government where people are treated with respect and dignity regardless of whether they are billionaires or ordinary workers, and where bigots aren’t defended by those in power, are of course hoping “Andrew” continues to fail Mr Abbott.
Meanwhile, it is rumoured The Doctor visited Julie Bishop earlier today and whispered to her, “Don’t you think he looks tired?”
